The two videos below are from comedy shows in Germany and Switzerland addressing the issue of integration, specifically learning German. It’s interesting to note that in both of the videos that the teachers actually teach a pigeon-German. In Germany, Turkish-German is called Kanak (see/hear it in the dialects post). Switzerland has more immigrants from the Balkan countries, and there is no technical term for that type of German, especially since it mixes with Swiss dialect. Give both videos a watch, but please do pay any attention to the “grammatical rules” offered by the teachers. In the second video the term “geil” gets used a lot – read about it here.
